EASY STEPS FOR EYE MAKEUP—A BEGINNER’S GUIDE!

Step 1: Use an eye primer

Apply a tiny amount of BRONX STUDIOLINE EYE PRIMER and allow it to dry. This will not only give you a more intense colour but also enhance the hold of your pigments. It will also even out your skin tone, neutralize imperfections, prevent skin creasing as well as minimize fallout.

Plan B: In case you don’t have a base, alternatively use foundation or concealer.

Step 2: Choose the shades that suit your mood.

We would recommend you try out the NEW pressed pigment palettes by Technic!

It’s important to first start your eye makeup with the basic shades. These should be evenly applied to cover the entire eyelid. For how to… see step 3.

You can always go crazy with colours and glitters once you’ve got a hold of it.

Makeup artist tip: It’s best to choose matte as opposed to glitter or shimmer shades as they stay put for longer and don’t give the illusion of oily eyelids.

Step 3: Use an eye shadow brush

Eye makeup brushes are different from other makeup brushes. Though there are beauty artists out there who just use their fingertips to apply eye makeup, using a specialised brush is always simper!

We would suggest you use GOSH COPENHAGEN 025 EYE SHADOW BRUSH SHAPER.

Step 4: Use a blending brush

Glide DERMACOL EYESHADOW BLENDING BRUSH D82 on the mid-tone shade and apply it above the crease line. This time start from outward and smoothly glide it inwards. Make sure to not overdo it and try to make it appear as seamless as possible. The mid-tone can be any shade from neutral to the one that best suits your outfit!

 Step 5: Contour your eyes

Contouring adds great definition to your eyes, making them stand out glamorously. A well-contoured eye balances out your features for a more done-up look.

Remember: The darkest shade of the palette is the one to be used for contouring. Start from the outer corner of your eyelids and glide it towards the crease. Make it a point to keep your contour shade lower than the mid-tone shade.

Makeup Artist Tip: Make sure you are picking the right brush too. For instance, an angled brush can be used for precise application and a feathered brush for more casual coverage.

Step 7: Colour pop the bottom lash line

When your eyelids are done, it’s time to move to the lower lash line.

Start by emphasising the inner corner of your eyes by applying just a tad of TECHNIC MEGA GLOW HIGHLIGHTER!

Take a tiny amount of your darker eyeshadow shade on the brush and starting from outward glide the brush inward until it meets the highlighting shade i.e. the lighter shade that you applied first.

 Step 8: Touch up!

Your eye makeup is all set to turn some heads! Just some last fixes to go and you’ll fall deeply for the art of eye makeup. Use TECHNIC’s INTENSE LIQUID EYELINER to add more definition and shape to your eyes and finish the look by using TECHNIC’s MEGA LASH MASCARA to add length and volume to your lashes
